How the Journey Began
Our journey began in 2014 when my husband Robbie and I—Ellen—opened our home to foster kids. We quickly discovered a heartbreaking need: teens aging out of the system without support, stability, or a sense of belonging. That realization changed everything. Over the years, we deepened our involvement through our church and organizations like Orphan Care Alliance, building support networks for foster and adoptive families across Southern Indiana.
In 2023, two lifelong passions came together in an unexpected way. While Robbie stepped into a new role as Family and Kids Minister at Graceland Church, I began working at a local animal shelter. As I trained and cared for abandoned dogs, I noticed a powerful parallel—youth and animals, both overlooked, both in need of healing.
That’s when our vision took shape: to create a place where foster youth and rescue dogs can find purpose, connection, and healing—together. We believe that brokenness doesn't mean the end of the story. With the right support, it can be the beginning of something beautiful.

To restore hope and purpose by connecting aged out foster youth and rescue dogs—two often-overlooked populations—through the rehabilitation and training of rescue dogs, skill-building for youth, and lasting support through ties within the community.
To create a place where foster youth and rescue dogs find purpose, connection, and healing—proving that brokenness is not the end, but the beginning of something beautiful
